Remove image backgrounds in Zapier
Zaps that call remove.bg stop on 1 December 2026. The LassoCut integration does the same step: it takes an image from any app (Google Drive, Dropbox, Shopify, a form, an email) and gives you the cut-out as a file for the next step.

Set it up
- Open the link above and accept the invitation.
- In your Zap, add an action step, search for LassoCut and choose Remove Background.
- Click Sign in: LassoCut opens, you sign in with GitHub or Google and click Allow Zapier. No key to copy.
- In Image to Cut Out, pick the file or image URL from an earlier step.
- Choose the Quality (full resolution, or a free preview), the Background (transparent, white, black or any colour) and the Crop, then test the step.
The step returns the Cut-out Image as a file named after the original (shoe-removebg.png), plus the credits used, the size and the detected subject. Send the file on to Google Drive, Dropbox, Shopify, Slack or any other app.
Coming from remove.bg in Zapier
Replace the remove.bg step with the LassoCut step and map the same image field. remove.bg credits cannot be used on LassoCut; LassoCut credit packs never expire.

The first run says LassoCut is waking up
After a quiet period our servers take a few seconds to start. In a live Zap, Zapier runs the step again automatically a minute later; in the editor, click Retest.
